Claire and Sinéad are both primary school teachers. Between them, they have nearly thirty years teaching experience and have completed numerous mindfulness courses including MBSR and Creative Mindfulness Kids Practitioner (IMMA).
As mothers, teachers and mindfulness practitioners, they have always been very passionate about promoting mental health and children’s well-being – and so they created the ‘Breathe with Bea’ series.
Their aim was to design and create exciting books to help children identify, recognise and manage a variety of feelings and emotions , all while providing them with the tools to help self-regulate.
What Claire and Sinéad say:-
"We feel passionate about children being content, happy and relaxed in their mind and body. As teachers, we know that young children learn and develop valuable life skills through story, rhyme, fun and active learning. Introducing simple breathing techniques, positive self-talk and gratitude will help alleviate any stresses and worries, while building happiness, confidence and resilience in children as the grow.
Our aim was to create books, rhymes and activities that teachers, parents
and guardians can easily use and that children can thoroughly enjoy to promote well-being. We hope you share our vision!
