'A Weekend in July - Photo Story of St.Michael's Villas 70th Anniversary Celebrations' is the story of that special weekend in July when we proudly celebrated 70 years of St. Michael's Villas, Ennis, when our SMV70 Exhibition opened at the Clare Museum and continued there for a full month, when we attended celebratory mass in the St. Michael's Grotto, and unveiled memorials in memory of our beloved dead over the last 70 years, where we met and hugged, sang and danced, ate ice-cream and cake, where later that day we heard amazing live music.
The book contains over 620 photos of that weekend and the preparation for it - the establishment of our choir, committees, installations of memorial at Grotto, Exhibition, Mass, Barbeque and Gig.
It's a special book about a special place in the hearts of everyone from Ennis.
All profits from the book are going to the Tarmac SMVGrotto Fund.
The book is compiled by proud St. Michael's woman Cora Hahessy McNulty. You cannot have a photobook without photos and big thanks goes to community photographers John O'Neill and Pat Hanrahan and St. Michael's siblings, Gerry, Anne and Eddie O'Loughlin.
Cora's book 'St. Michael's Villas - A History and Miscellany' sold out in ten days when published in 2015. This book is likely to sell out too.
