A fantastic new Irish translation of Where Are You, Puffling?

A puffling has gone in search of adventure - now her puffin parents can't find her anywhere!

They talk to the seal and the gannet and the rabbit; they walk to the huts and the cliffs and the cove. They hear lots of stories of the puffling helping others, but they just cannot find their fluffy, black chick.

Finally, they spot her - on a boat out at sea!

The puffling is too small to fly home, so the animals of Skellig work together and come up with something very clever ...

About the Author

GERRY DALY is a children's author and illustrator living by the beautiful sea in Dublin. He hasn't seen any whales from his window, but saw many off the coast of West Cork. His previous books include the best-selling Where Are You, Puffling? and Wee Donkey's Treasure Hunt, both written by Erika McGann and also published by The O'Brien Press. He loves to paint birds and animals, from the tiniest to the biggest of them all. Erika McGann grew up in Drogheda, County Louth, and now lives in Dublin. She is the author of many books including The Demon Notebook (winner of the Waverton Good Read Children's Award), the 'Cass and the Bubble Street Gang' series. She wrote the Where Are You, Puffling? stories and Wee Donkey's Treasure Hunt (all illustrated by Gerry Daly), The Night-time Cat and the Plump, Grey Mouse (illustrated by Lauren O'Neill) and Standing On One Leg Is Hard (illustrated by Clive McFarland). Muireann is a children's author and performer. Although a Cork City native, she spent much of her childhood in the Corca Dhuibhne Gaeltacht in Kerry where her father's family are from and is a proud Irish speaker. When she's not writing books, dancing about on your TV screen or cooking up new shows or ideas, you'll find her in the sea, doodling in her sketchbook or most likely running around after her young and very energetic sons on the beaches of Tramore, Co. Waterford. She hopes that this book will be the perfect excuse to fulfil a lifelong dream of getting a puppy and calling him Murphy!
